Resulting from the passion for Provence, the story of MistralGin begins in 2016. Indeed, the creators of this Craft Gin were fascinated by the diversity of plants in the region, including the gin. After many months of research, they decided to launch the first Provençal Gin Rosé focusing on the terroir. Thus, from their knowledge of the terroirs of Provence and their know-how in rosés wines, they have developed this recipe and this color so unique.
MistralGin, first and only Provençal Gin Rosé is made at the Forcalquier distillery, in the heart of Alpes de Hautes Provence. Located right next to it, the Montagne de Lure is an inexhaustible resource of botanical plants. From Middle Ages, people picked medicinal herbs for distillation and nowadays they still handpicked these botanicals for their MistralGin. These herbs are separately distilled and then blended with gin, in small vats to concentrate the quality and obtain this particular taste.
MistralGin is recognized by the profession; it has already won the Bronze Award at IWS Competition 2018 and at the USA Spirits Ratings Competition 2018. More, consumers voted him as #1 of French gins on Ginventory with a score of 9.6 / 10 (July 2018). At the tasting, this exclusive gin reveals all the aromas of Provence, exhaling notes of flowers and grapefruit at once elegant and refreshing. To taste pure or with a very good tonic, some basil leaves, a grapefruit slice and lots of ice cubes.
