In 1964, the Demarchi family acquired Château Haut-Queyran, formerly Domaine de Haut Brion until 1989. Since 2001, the descendants of the Demarchi family, Patricia and Laurent, have taken over the property and cultivated the family know-how with the same passion as their ancestors.
The terroir of Château Haut-Queyran consists of 15 hectares of vineyards north of the Medoc, on the edge of St-Estèphe on a clay-limestone soil. Vinification is done in stainless steel vats and aging in concretes and barrels.
At the tasting, Château Haut-Queyran offers a nose typical of its appellation: superb notes of spices and red fruits. The lenght of this wine is very pleasant and typic of the Medoc appellation.
