Since 1996, Xavier Planty, co-owner of the famous Château Guiraud, made a commitment to organic viticulture. His wish is to “work differently” he said. TOWARDS ORGANIC WINES
Since the last couple years, the numbers confirm the importance that organic wines are reaching: in 2007, the vineyard represented 22 500 ha and in 2011, 61 000ha! Since 2009 the surfaces that are changing to this viticulture are more important than the surfaces that are already in organic viticulture.
