The history of Château La Tour Blanche is inseparable from the men who participated in its fame. Each of them contributed to erect the domain among the greatest. The first of them: Monsieur Saint-Marc, lord of La Tour Blanche, gave his name to the domain. But it is Frederick Focke who allowed this property to take a new take off, inventing the sweet wine of Sauternes! Nothing less than that! Indeed, this German man brought with him the technique of the late harvests from his country. Today, the estate belongs to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, which became the owner in 2010, but remains managed by wine and vineyard professionals.
